Seawolves Downed by Warriors

Turlock, Calif. – The Seawolves were held to a .202 attack percentage Saturday evening as Stanislaus State came out on top 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-18). Sonoma State sits 8-17 overall and 4-12 in California Collegiate Athletic Association play. 
 
SET BY SET:           
Sonoma State attacked first, followed by 11 Warrior points. From then on the Seawolves scored in (six)pairs starting with kills from Brianna Ranney and Tate Battistini to bring the score to 11-4. The Warriors answered back with three points, then Hannah Coe and Amy Trephan downed a pair of kills to make the score 15-8. Following a Seawolves service errorJenna Miller registered a kill, then the Warriors recorded an attack error to make it 16-10. From then on Stanislaus State claimed nine of the last 14 points to win by ten (25-15). 
 
The Seawolves jumped in front of the Warriors early in the second set with two straight points for a 2-1 lead and held a constant lead until the Warriors tied the set 13-13. When the table turned the Stanislaus ran away this a lead the remainder of the set for a 25-20 win over the Seawolves. 
 
Sonoma State trailed from the start of the final set 5-2, then 12-4 before the Seawolves strung two kills from Battistini and an attack error from the Warriors. Sonoma's Hannah Coe and Amy Trephan claimed a pair of kills to make the score 14-11 before Stanislaus put down five for a 19-11 lead over the Seawolves. Sonoma State fell 25-18 after a Seawolf service error.

AGAINST STANISLAUS STATE: The all-time series moves to 66-11 in favor of the Seawolves.
