Rohnert Park, Calif. -- Seawolves are now 8-18 overall and 4-13 in the CCAA after this evening 3-1 (25-17, 25-18, 17-25, 25-21) battle against the Gators of San Francisco State (13-11 overall and 8-9 in conference).
SET BY SET:
San Francisco State led from start to finish in the first set for a 25-17 win as the Gators forced Sonoma State into six attack errors and a .100 attack percentage.
In a back and forth the second set that saw three ties and four lead changes, San Francisco State claimed 11 of the final 15 points to win set two 25-18. The Seawolves forced five Gator errors and held them to a .154 attack percentage.
The Seawolves regrouped in the third set, producing 11 kills and a .235 attack percentage, to go with a block by
Hannah Coe as Sonoma State evened the match with a 25-17 set win.
Set four began with a 5-0 lead, San Francisco State pulled away from a 15-15 tie in the fourth set to close out the Seawolves with a 25-21 set win, taking the match 3-1.
