First Win, Comes in Second Overtime

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Brandon Tillis put the finishing touches on the Seawolves overtime comeback with two free throws in the remaining 30 seconds to lift Sonoma State to a 68-66 overtime win over Academy of Art Saturday night.
 
The first 3 minutes of the game opened scoreless before the Urban Knights claimed the first 6 points. The Seawolves Isaac Davidson answered back with a pair of 3 pointers to even the score. The program's stayed within one point of each other till the Urban Knights broke away with six back-to-back points, extending its lead to 33-23. Sonoma States Malachi Jones landed a jump ball to close out the first half 33-25
 
The Seawolves came back from halftime to score 12 of the first 20 points of the second half. Sonoma fought off a 10-point deficit, strung together the final 7-points of regulation, as Isaac Davidson sank a jumper with four ticks left on the clock to force the second overtime for the Seawolves the opening weekend. 

Sonoma held the Urban Knights to 4 shots in overtime, outscoring Academy of Art 8-to-6, and win 68-66.

San Francisco State Tipoff Classic Recap: Davidson was named to the All-Tournament Team after a combined showing of 49 points, 12 rebounds, and 1 steal between the two games this weekend.

What's Next: The Seawolves stay on the road to face the University of San Francisco in an exhibition game on Monday, November 12, at 7:00 p.m.
