Seawolves Fall to Warriors Thursday Night 59-49

 Turlock, Calif. – Sonoma State fell to Stanislaus State by a final of 59-49 in the Seawolves first conference game on the road this season. The Seawolves took a close 24-23 halftime lead but the second half belonged to the Warriors, who outscored Sonoma State, 36-25, over the final 20 minutes of the contest.
 
How It Happened: The score in the first half stayed close, the Warriors gained a brief 5-point lead with 4:21 minutes remaining. Sonoma fought back into the game before halftime, as the Seawolves put together an 8-2 run to bring the deficit down to just a single possession at 24-23, heading into the locker room. In the first half, the Seawolves posted a 45.5 (10-for-22) shooting percentage from the field, holding the Warriors to a mere 30% (9-for30).
 
The second half fell in favor of the Warriors, as the Seawolves shot 9-for-12 (75%) at the free throw line, 20% (2-for-10) at the three-point line, and 7-for-22 (31.8%) in the field. With 49 seconds left on the clock and a 12-point deficit on the board, Ugochi Anudokem downed a pair of free throws to close the final score 59-49.
