Comeback Win

Rohnert Park, Calif. – Four Seawolves scored in double digits against Cal State San Bernardino, Kylie Kiech leading the packing, just short of a 20-point game with 19 of her own. Sonoma State snapped a three-game losing streak with its 71-62 win over the Coyotes.
 
The Seawolves improve to 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the CCAA.
 
While Kiech led the team in points made, Ugochi Anudokem snagged ten rebounds and 12-points going 5-for-9 from the field and 2-for-4 at the line. Sophie Northern was lights out at the charity line, downing all 10 of her free throws, going 2-for-4 from the field and 1-for-3 at the three-point line. Northern grabbed four rebounds, had four assists and one steal against the Coyotes. Serena Santos put on a season-high performance from the field, totaling 12 points, Santos was 5-for-9 from the field, accounting for two three-pointers
 
Sonoma State gained an early 10-point lead in the first quarter, then fell behind by six at the end of the first half.
 
Seawolves came back from a 40-34 deficit at halftime to outscore the Coyotes 37-22 in the final twenty minutes. Holding San Bernardino to 38 percent (8-21) from the field and 11 percent (1-9) at the three-point line the Seawolves shot 82 percent (14-17) from the free throw line, 50 percent (3-6) from the arc and 45 percent (10-22) from the line to come back and win 71-62.
 
NEXT UP: The Seawolves end 2018 on the road as they travel to Southern California to play Dominguez Hills (December 29th) and UC San Diego (December 31st).
