Sonoma's Skid Continues Against San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. --  The Sonoma State Seawolves suffered their seventh-straight loss Saturday night as they fell to Cal State San Bernardino by a final of 67-54. Three Seawolves, Lewayne Grant, Isaac Davidson and Jordan Hickman, each contributed a team-high 12 points during the game but were unable to find a lead in the match versus the Coyotes.

With the loss, Sonoma State falls to 9-15 overall and 7-13 in conference play as they cling to playoff aspirations over the final week of the regular season.

The Seawolves shot 18-46 from the floor and struggled from range for the second straight night, making only two of 16 attempts from beyond the arc. The visitors however, fared better in the second half, making 42.9 percent of their shots compared to 36 percent of their first half totals.

Sonoma State's best run came in the late part of the first half, as they put eight straight points on the board over 6:02 to cut San Bernardino's lead from 14 to six. However, the Coyotes were able to build their lead back up a bit before halftime, taking a nine-point margin into the break.

The Seawolves eventually came back to twice tie things up in the second half, riding an 11-6 run between 14:53 and 9:32 to pull even 42-42 the first time. Unfortunately, Sonoma State was unable to hone their momentum for a second-half comeback, and eventually fell 67-54.

Sonoma State returns to action for a final regular season homestead, next Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm in the Wolves' Den, taking on Humboldt State and Chico State, respectively.
