Women's Basketball Ends Season After Loss To #25 Tritons

LA JOLLA, Calif. -- The Sonoma State women's basketball team saw its 2017-18 season come to an end Tuesday, losing 69-52 to No. 25 UC San Diego on Tuesday night in the First Round of the CCAA Championship Tournament at RIMAC Arena in La Jolla.

The Seawolves, who entered the contest as the No. 8 seed in the conference tournament, finish with a 12-15 overall record.  The top-seeded Tritons (26-3), meanwhile, advance to Friday's semifinal in Pomona against No. 4 seed Chico State.

Ugochi Anudokem led the team in points for the 14th time this season, netting 14 and grabbing a team-high 12 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the year. Madison Burroughs and Jessica Mitz wrapped up their careers with double-figures with 10 and 11 points, respectively.  Four other SSU seniors competed in their final collegiate game Tuesday -- Carly Gill, Jerrica Crosby, McKaiela Tyler and Molly Donovan each saw playing time as well.
