SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- The Seawolves concluded their road trip with a match against the #11 Sea Lions of Point Loma University. The Seawolves lost the match 5-1 and fall to 12-5 on the year. The Sea Lions improve to 13-3.

Sonoma State found themselves down early when they lost all three of their doubles matches. Shelby Groeneveld/Michelle Torres defeated Jensyn Warren/Amanda Zuidema in the doubles one match (8-4). Carolina Cuevas/Gabi Armas defeated Carolyn Brooner/Jenna DeTurk in the doubles two match (8-0). Nikki Newell/Ellie Gamble defeated Katherine Long/Hannah Highsmith in the doubles three match (8-5).
In singles match play, only three of the matches were completed because the Sea Lions clinched the match.

#10 Jensyn Warren won the only match today for the Seawolves when she defeated Nikki Newell in the singles one match (6-1, 6-3). #22 Carolina Cuevas defeated Amanda Zuidema in the singles two match (4-6, 6-3, 6-1). #53 Shelby Groeneveld defeated Clarisa Colling in the singles three match (6-1, 6-2).

The Seawolves return home on Monday when they take on the Golden Eagles of Cal State University Los Angeles. First serve will be served at 11:00 am.
