ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- Thursday morning the #30 Seawolves welcomed NCAA Division I school Portland State. The Seawolves played the Vikings very close but eventually lost the match 5-4. The Seawolves fall to 12-5 on the year while the Vikings improve to 10-7.
The Seawolves found themselves in an early 2-1 deficit as they dropped two of the three doubles matches.
Alec Wong and
Max Nudell were the only victorious doubles pair today and defeated Sam Roberts and Majeed Bukhari in the doubles three match (8-6).
In singles match play three Seawolves found wins against their DI opponents.
Sean Alves defeated Tommy Edwards in the singles two match (7-5, 6-0).
Allan Lock defeated Avery West in the singles three match (3-6, 6-4, 6-3).
Igor Pissarenko defeated Roberts in the singles five match (6-2, 6-3). #60
Nate Oppenheim battled with Nathan Boniel in the singles one match but lost in three sets (6-7, 6-3, 6-2).
The Seawolves will travel to Oakland on Saturday April 7th for their final regular season match when they take on the Hawks of Holy Names. First serve will be served at 10:00 am.
