ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- The Sonoma State Women's Tennis team welcomed the #12 UC San Diego Tritons Friday afternoon. The Seawolves lost the match 8-1 and fall to 13-6 on the year. The Tritons improve to 10-9.
The Seawolves found themselves in a quick 3-0 deficit when they lost all three doubles matches.
Jensyn Warren and
Amanda Zuidema fell to #33 Ashley Chao and Rebecca Chou in the doubles one match.
In singles match play #6
Jensyn Warren was the only victorious Seawolf when she defeated #28 Ashley Chao in the singles one match (6-3, 4-6, 7-5). On Wednesday, the ITA announced Warren's #6 ranking in the nation for Division II Singles, which marks the highest singles ranking in Sonoma State's program history. #57
Amanda Zuidema fell to Rebecca Chou in the singles two match (6-1, 6-4).
Carolyn Brooner fell to #45 Alexandra Well in the singles three match (7-6, 6-3).
The Seawolves will travel down to Marin on Friday April 6 when they take on the Penguins of Dominican (CA) University. First serve will be served at 11:00 am.
