Sonoma State Clinches Senior Day Win

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- Sunday morning marked the final regular season game for the Sonoma State Women's Tennis team as they welcomed UC Santa Cruz. The Seawolves won the match 9-0 and move to 16-7 while the Banana Slugs move to 2-11.
The Seawolves jumped off to a quick 3-0 lead when they took all three double matches. They were led by doubles one match Jensyn Warren and Carolyn Brooner who defeated Isabelle Brown and Therese Recidoro (8-4). Doubles two pair Jena DeTurk and Clarissa Colling and doubles three pair Katherine Long and Hannah Highsmith were also victorious today in their respective matches.

All singles matches were won by the Seawolves today. Clarissa Colling earned the start in the singles one match where she defeated Isabelle Brown. Jenna De Turk started for the singles two match and defeated Kayla Manz (6-1, 6-1) Katherine Long defeated Savana McDowell in the singles three match (6-1, 6-2). Other Seawolves who won their singles matches today were Hannah Highsmith in singles four, Julie Rea in singles five and Jennifer Kingsley in singles six.

Following the regular season the Seawolves will now set their sights toward the PacWest Championship in Surprise, AZ., which begins April 18. Matchup and time has yet to be determined. For updates, check in at sonomaseawolves.com.
