SURPRISE, Ariz. -- After losing their quarterfinals match in the PacWest Tournament on Thursday, the Seawolves entered into the consolation bracket. They faced Stanislaus State who lost to #1 seed Hawaii Pacific on Thursday. The Seawolves went on to win their match against the Warriors 5-0 and improve to 18-8, while the Warriors fall to 8-13.
The Seawolves jumped off to a quick 3-0 lead after the doubles matches were completed.

Carolyn Brooner defeated Cassidy Ferrel/Kaya Nguyen in the doubles one match (8-1).

Jenna DeTurk defeated Megan Hagerty/Taylor Galya in the doubles two match (8-2). Lastly,
Katherine Long/Hanah Highsmith defeated Ebone Qualls/Milaana Proft in the doubles three match (8-4).
Since Sonoma State swept the doubles matches, they needed only two more single match victories to win the match.
Carolyn Brooner got the first point for SSU with her victory over Miliaana Proft in the singles three match (6-1, 6-1).
Jenna DeTurk clinched the match for the Seawolves with her victory in the singles six match over Ebone Qualls (6-0, 6-2).
The Seawolves will have a chance to place fifth in the Pacific West Tournament when they take on Concordia (CA) tomorrow morning. First serve will be served at 9:00 am.
