Rohnert Park, Ca-  The Seawolves got off to a fast start , slowed down in the 3rd set but caught fire again in the 4th set to defeat Monterey Bay 3-1 in the Wolves den Wednesday night.
The hitters were good tonight for Sonoma State with Tate Battistini (17 kills) coming up with some clutch attacks throughout the match but it was the defense from Ashleigh Phelps that led the way for Sonoma State.
Phelps finished the night with 24 digs for SSU.

"Really excited about the defense and serve reception from Ashleigh Phelps.  We won the serve and pass battle with the pressure put on by Emily Eaton all night," Said Coach Bear Grassl after their 3rd conference win.  "It was a hard fought win."
