Rohnert Park, Ca- On Friday, October 25th, The Seawolves took on the UC San Diego Triton. The tough loss of 1-0 was a well battled game but the Seawolves came up just short. On a warm and dry day the seawolves were holding off UCSD early but the pressure continued. The tritons broke through just before the 20th minute to make it 1-0.
The Seawolves came out with much more energy and pressure in the second half and the game began to open up for both sides. Derek Engebretsen made some great saves to keep Sonoma in the game. The Seawolves had a couple set pieces late but were unable to convert. The game ended in a hard fought defeat 1-0.
The Seawolves await Cal State San Marcos depending on weather conditions. The game was originally scheduled for Sunday October 27th but will be updated as the weather conditions in northern California change.
