Rohnert Park, Ca - In a showdown of top 20 ranked teams, #19 Sonoma State scored the games only goal in the 73rd minute to shake up the CCAA standings.  Alexis Espitia found the net off a nice pass from Molly Murphy setting off a a huge eruption form the home crowd.

From there the defense had to hold off a furious attack by the Tritons, but in the end it is was another shutout win form Ashley Morton in Goal, as the Seawolves handed #2 UC San Diego its first CCAA loss of the year.

"This is a hallmark victory for our program," says Head Coach Emiria Salzman Dunn.  "We know how good they are, I'm so proud of our team for their heartfelt and driven performance."

UCSD has long been the conference standard of excellence and today's win for Sonoma State was a total inspiration to watch. 

The scheduled games vs San Marcos have been postponed due to campus closure over the weekend.  SSU may re-open on Tuesday if possible.
