Monterey, Calif. – After trailing the Otters in the opening 20, the Seawolves came back from halftime deficit to beat Cal State Monterey Bay 72-60.
The Seawolves shot 47.2 percent (25-for-53) from the field, 51.9 percent (14-for-27) from the arc and 53.3 percent (8-for-15) from the free throw line, as they held the Otters to four three-pointers (4-of-21) and 33.3 percent from the field (21-for-63).
Following a 33-32 first half, Sonoma States
Sophie Northern downed a three-pointer in the opening minute for the Seawolves first lead of the night. With 3:31 left in the third quarter the Otters tied the score 42-42, before regaining the lead 49-43. With .03 on the clock,
Ugochi Anudokem made a layup in the paint to close the gap 49-45.
Sonoma scored the first 13-points of the fourth quarter, outscoring the Otters 27-11 while holding the Otters to seven baskets in the closing 10 minutes which proved to be the difference in the Seawolves 72-60 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay.
