Santa Rosa, Calif. – Seawolves drop game one of its conference-opening doubleheader against the Gators of San Francisco State 9-8.
Sonoma State found themselves ahead 15-4 in the bottom of the 8th of game two when the game came to a halt due to darkness. Game two will resume where it left off at a later date, which has yet to be determined.

After a scoreless opening inning San Francisco State got on the board 5-0 in the second inning, the Seawolves chipped away in the bottom of the second scoring two, off of
Drew Downings homerun down the left field line cutting its deficit to 5-2.
Both teams put up a run in the fourth, the Seawolves'
Matt Hill brought home Downing with a triple down the left field line to cut the Gators lead in half 6-3.
The fifth inning saw both teams cross the plate once,
James Harwell singled up the middle for a one-run RBI.
A four-run seventh inning rally by the Seawolves to take the lead 8-7 fell short as the Gators homered in the eighth to tie up the game, then homered again in the ninth to claim the win 9-8.
