Rohnert Park, CA- The Seawolves took the pitch at SSU for a Sunday Brunch match up with the Gators of SF State and won 2-0 in front of the home crowd. After a scoreless first half in which the Seawolves fired 12 shots at San Francisco State keeper
Sommer Harrington, The ice was broken by
Molly Murphy in the 67th minute given SSU a 1-nil lead. Then in the in the 72nd minute
Maddie Watts solidified the win with long shot from the left side that Harrington miss-played and the ball rolled past and in.
The 2-0 win give the SSU Women a 6-2 record overall and 2-0 conference record in the CCAA.
Ashley Morton in goal for the Seawolves had 3 saves as the team recorded its 4th shutout of the year.
Riley West and
Kamryn Haiber led the way defensively, playing strong all game long keeping the Gators from getting good attacking chances.
The Seawolves go on the road next week to take on Cal State East Bay in Hayward, Friday at 7:00 pm.
