Rohnert Park, CA - On Saturday afternoon, January 25th, the Seawolves men's basketball faced off against conference leaders UC San Diego as they looked to snap their current losing streak and make an impact on the CCAA standings. The Seawolves hung with the Tritons early on but struggled to shoot the ball and the Tritons punished Sonoma on the other end.
Sonoma was 9-23 from the floor in the first half and again struggled from deep only making 1 three in the first half. UCSD was on fire from deep in the first half and that's where they ultimately put the game out of reach hitting 1a whopping 3 three pointers in the first half.
Turnovers were detrimental for the Seawolves again as they committed 17 turnovers against the Tritons where allowing them to convert 24 points off those turnovers.
Isaac Davidson tried to keep the game close and heated up in the second as he finished with 19 points and 9 boards to lead the Seawolves.
Eric Nielsen was also productive again inside scoring 8 points on 3-4 shooting.
Sonoma would drop the game 92-57. The Seawolves hit the road again as they travel down south to take on San Bernardino and Cal Poly Pomona.
