FRENO, CALIF.- Sonoma State Women's Basketball wrapped up their Fresno roadtrip taking on the Sunbirds of Fresno Pacific. It was another balanced attack that saw 11 different Seawolves earn double figures in playing time and three players reaching double figures.
Madisyn Clark and Paige Pentzer led the way on the offensive side of the court with each player chipping in 11 points. Pentzer stuffed the statsheet with a game high seven rebounds and swiped two steals as well.
Jayme Blackard also scored 10 points thanks to a strong showing at the free throw line where she knocked down eight of 10 shots from the charity stripe. Off the bench, Jennifer Moreno led the second unit with seven points and two steals as well.
Despite the loss the Seawolves held the Sunbirds to a sub-40% shooting percentage from the floor. They also forced 17 turnovers while generating 20 points off of said turnovers.
The team will now turn their attention to their home opener on November 14th when they host the visiting Warriors of Jessup and will tip off at 5:30 PM!
