ROHNERT PARK, CALIF.- In a showdown between two of the CCAA's northern programs, the Seawolves pulled off a 3-0 sweep against the Wildcats across three close sets on their homecourt.
The highlight of the match was a season best performance from Kaili Spooner. Spooner earned the start and responded with a match high 13 kills and chipped in two block assists as well. Alongside Spooner, Jordyn Waite-Ward was dynamic at the point of attack as well. Waite-Ward had 10 kills with an outstanding .667 hitting percentage.
Defensively it was a balanced team effort with four players earning at least six digs. While they did not post many blocks, the ones the Seawolves earned were incredibly clutch. During the tightly contested second set the Seawolves earned three blocks in a row to expand their lead and decisively put the set out of reach for the Wildcats.
Lastly, the duo of Jules Tan and Brynna Slayton once again did a great job of running the team's offense. The pair combined for 44 assists and eight digs.
The team now turns their attention to the final home game of the season this coming Saturday. The Seawolves will take on the visiting Stanislaus State Warriors while also celebrating Senior Day! The first serve is scheduled for 1:00 PM inside the Wolves Den.
