ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – The Sonoma State women's soccer team closed out their non-conference schedule on Saturday afternoon with a 1-1 draw against Cal Poly Humboldt. The Seawolves moved to 2-2-3 on the season with the tie and extended their unbeaten streak to five matches.
SSU came out strong from the opening whistle, applying pressure on the Humboldt defense. Just 51 seconds into the game,

Undeterred by the early setback, the Seawolves continued to press forward.
Mia Solorio-Smith was particularly active, registering four shots throughout the game. The Seawolves' persistence paid off in the dying moments of the first half when
Julia Betti converted a penalty kick in the 45th minute, leveling the score at 1-1. The opportunity came after a Sonoma State corner kick landed in the box and off the hand of a Lumberjack defender.
The second half saw Sonoma State dominate possession and create a flurry of chances. The Seawolves outshot their opponents 10-5 in the second period, bringing their total shot count to 18 compared to Humboldt's 10. Corner kicks told a similar story of SSU's territorial advantage, with the Seawolves earning 10 corners to Humboldt's single attempt.

rd minute to keep the match tied. Beddoes came up big again in the 88
th minute with another great stop.
