Biography
2012: No sophomore slump for Hull as she was an All-West Region and All-CCAA pick for the second straight year ... finished 3rd on the team in kills (301) ... hit .242 and contributed 51 blocks ... also among the team leaders with 257 digs ... had 18 kills in a match twice, including in the season opener against Seattle Pacific (8/30/12) ... hit .438 (18-4-32) in a win over San Francisco State (10/3/12) ... posted a career-high 19 digs against UC San Diego (10/5/12) ... named to the CCAA All-Academic Team.
2011: As a redshirt freshman for the Seawolves in 2011, Kelsey dominated at the net ... was third on the team in kills (305), she averaged 3.18 kills per set … a hot hand for most of the year, she was second on the team in hitting percentage (.319) … tallied 49 digs and 45 blocks … pounded 10 or more kills in 20 matches … hit at a season-high clip of .700 against Dominican (9/20/11) … received First Team All-CCAA, CCAA Newcomer of the Year, AVCA All-West Region, AVCA All-America and NCAA Division II West Regional All-Tournament honors.
2010: Redshirted for Sonoma State.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Calaveras High School in San Andreas … a first team all-league selection and all-conference/all-area honoree … broke the school record for kills per set … named Athlete of the Year ... a three-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball and softball ... was on the honor roll.
PERSONAL: Plans to major in Criminal Justice and minor in Psychology … chose Sonoma State because she loves the location and the school has the programs in which she would like to study as an undergrad ... wants to become a police detective after graduation … is a fan of the Cleveland Indians and wants to meet Johnny Cash … is influenced by Misty May-Trainor … likes the movie Just Go With It and reading Shades of Grey … favorite food is watermelon … her most memorable sports moment was getting spiked in the face by Keala Peterson … wants to play for the national championship this season … she can’t pronounce Seawolf.
