Biography

2021 SEASON:

2020 SEASON: Gates was a bright spot for the Seawolves as he was an effective outfielder and athletic base runner off the bench in his 17 appearances. In those 17 appearances Gates made 8 starts. Gates would finish with a .292 batting average recording 7 hits in his 24 at bats. His .528 on base percentage led the team and he would also finish with a pair of stolen bases. His season high came in the Seawolves final series before the suspension of the season against Cal State Dominguez Hills. SSU would lose a tough one, 3-5, but Gates would finish 2-4 with two doubles, a run scored, and an RBI to help produce two of the Seawolves three runs in the game.
