Biography
2010: Enjoyed an extraordinary freshman season in which she earned Second Team All-CCAA honors as well as Daktronics First Team All-West Region accolades…made 36 appearances in the pitching circle and started 30 games (206.1 innings)…completed 25 games…recorded five shutouts and three saves…second in the conference in ERA (1.83)…tied with teammate Samantha Lipperd for most wins in the CCAA (21)…sported a 21-9 record...earned Most Valuable Player honors at the Tournament of Champions in Turlock, helping the Seawolves to their first Gold Bracket Title; she went 4-0 with a save and a 0.72 ERA in 29 innings pitched…named CCAA Pitcher of the Week twice.
HIGH SCHOOL: Comes to Sonoma State from John F. Kennedy High School in Granada Hills...helped lead her team to a second place finish at the CIF Championships in 2007.
PERSONAL: Following graduation, she wants to work in the medical field or be a teacher...is a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers...biggest influence as an athlete is “Jesseee T. OCHO” (teammate Jesse Talaugon)...she rubs her hand in dirt before every pitch…listens to the music of No Doubt…enjoys the work of Ellen Hopkins…most memorable sports moment was pitching a complete game victory over Central Washington (3/28/10) in the title game of the Tournament of Champions in Turlock and earning MVP honors on the fifth anniversary of her mother’s passing.
