Sonoma State University Athletics

2011:   Active in 15 of the Seawolves’ 18 games...made three starts, including the season opener agianst Academy of Art (9/1/11)...assisted on a goal in the Seawolves’ 9-0 win over Cal State East Bay (9/16/11)...helped the defense allow just 17 goals in the 15 games he participated in.

2010:   Appeared in 12 games in his second season with Sonoma State...made one start...tied for fifth on the team with three assists...his three assists came in consecutive games, from October 29th to November 5th...assisted on Taylor Varnadore’s game-winning goal in the CCAA Championship Semifinal win over Cal State San Bernardino (11/5/10)...had an impressive CCAA Championship that saw him earn All-Tournament honors at the event’s conclusion.

2009:  Started three times and appeared in six more fixtures as a reserve...made his first career start in a 4-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay (9/27/09)...picked up an assist in Sonoma’s 3-1 win over Cal State East Bay (10/4/09)...played all ninety minutes in the East Bay game (10/4/09).

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played two years of varsity soccer at Sonoma Valley High School in Sonoma...named Honorable Mention All-League as a senior...was the Most Valuable Player of his squad as a senior as well...named Most Valuable Defender of his JV teams as a freshman and sophomore.

PERSONAL:  Lists his father, Gaudencio Becerril, as his biggest influence as an athlete...his favorite pro teams is Club America...lists Inception as his favorite movie...favorite soccer player is Franck Ribéry of Bayern Munich.
