#33 RHP Aidan Dolan:
Aidan Dolan joined the Seawolves baseball program as a senior transfer from Oxnard College this season. Aidan came in as an effective right-handed reliever for SSU as he made 5 appearances and finished with a 7.59 ERA in his SSU career. Dolan recorded a season high 3 strikeouts in 3 innings of relief against Fresno Pacific earlier this season. Aidan will graduate from Sonoma State wn MBA in Wine Business. "Coming to Sonoma State was the best decision I have ever made! The people I've met here and the friendships I've made will last forever… shout out Holly especially! #40 RHP David Newman:
Right-handed relief pitcher David Newman joined the Seawolves baseball program during the 2020 season. After the cancellation of the 2020 season, David returned for the 2022 season where he made 6 appearances and threw a season high 2.2 innings against Holy Names. David will graduate with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. "Thank you to my beautiful fiancé and to my parents who have unconditionally supported me along the way, and to God for giving me life and guiding me every day. I can't think of a better group of guys to finish this baseball journey with. Bunch of rocks, love you all". #5 RHP Sir Gomez:
Senior Sir Gomez stands as one of the longest tenure Seawolves currently in the program. Sir joined the program in 2019 out of Citrus College where he made 11 appearances and finished the season with a 4.78 ERA. He would record a career high 6 innings pitched and strikeout 8 batters against Cal State Dominguez Hills that season and finish his career with 18 appearances. Sir will graduate Sonoma State with a Masters in Business Administration. "I would've never thought how much coming to Sonoma State made an impact on my life. I would like to thank the coaches and staff for taking me in and treating me like family. I learned how to become an athlete, but more importantly a man. I'll never forget the people I've met. The one thing I'll miss most are late nights and road trips with my teammates. 'Sco Seawolves!" #11 INF Marco Rivas:
Infielder Marco Rivas joined the Seawolves baseball program out of Alamany HS. Marco was an effective and crafty infielder who could impacted the game in the field and on the bases. Marco played in 7 games this season and would make an outstanding play in the field in the bottom of the 7th against Stanislaus State to help seal the 2-1 victory. Marco will graduate with from Sonoma State with a degree in English Creative Writing. He plans to move back to Southern California and seek a job as a Journalist. "I would like to thank coach Goelz and the coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to finish my baseball career here at Sonoma State. I am appreciative of all my teammates and consider each person in the program family". #13 OF Otis Statum:
Senior Otis Statum joined the Seawolves baseball program as a transfer from University Nevada Reno. In his first season as a Seawolf, Otis would impact the team as a long ball hitter and lead the team with 8 homeruns. He currently owns a .240 batting average and has played in 39 games this season. Otis will graduate with a master's in Business Administration in the spring of 2023. "I want to thank God and my family first and foremost. I also want to thank my coaches for the opportunity to be here and my teammates for this experience. #9 3B Logan Douglas:
Senior Logan Douglas joined the Seawolves baseball program as a local product from Santa Rosa Junior College. Logan was a consistent starter at third base for SSU and played in 33 games this season. Logan's bat has gotten hotter and hotter as he currently owns a .286 batting average with 6 doubles and 14 RBI's. Logan will graduate with a Bachelors in Business Administration but plans to begin a career in firefighting after the end of the season. "I'd like to thank all my coaches and teammates for welcoming me with open arms on my one and only year as a Seawolf. Mainly, I'd like to thank my mother for supporting me throughout my entire baseball career because I wouldn't be the man, the player, or teammate I am today without her. I wouldn't want to play my last season anywhere else, thank you Seawolves!" #4 C Cole Brodnansky:
Senior catcher Cole Brodnansky joined the Seawolves baseball program as another local product out of Santa Rosa Junior College. Cole brought stability and consistency to the catchers position where he played in 37 games this season. Cole was also one of the most clutch hitters for the Seawolves this season as he has a .318 batting average, ranks 2nd on the team with 11 doubles and 3rd on the team with 24 RBI's. Cole will graduate from Sonoma State with a master's in History. "I would like to thank my teammates and coaches for allowing me the opportunity to continue my career both academically and athletically. I would especially like to thank my family and girlfriend Jaclyn for their continual support through it all". #8 INF Josh Lopez:
Infielder Josh Lopez joined the Seawolves baseball program in 2020 as a transfer from Golden West College. Josh played in 4 games for SSU during the shortened 2020 season before hitting a career high .301 this season. Josh leads the team with 38 runs scored and ranks 2nd on the team with 44 hits. Josh will graduate with a degree in Business Marketing but he hopes to continue his baseball career at the conclusion of the season. "I am grateful for all the coaches for helping me become the best version of myself. This has been the most fun I've had playing baseball in my entire life and I owe it all to the coaches and my teammates who made being here every day extremely fun. I will miss being a Seawolf and will remember my coaches and teammates forever". Outfielder Desmond Gates joined the Seawolves baseball program in 2020 as a transfer from West LA College. Despite the shortened 2020 season, Desmond was an effective leadoff hitter and finished with a .292 batting average in his 17 games played. This season, Desmond owns a .214 batting average, ranks 2nd on the team with 22 walks and has played in 33 games. Desmond will graduate from Sonoma State with a degree in Communications focusing on Public Relations. "I am thankful for the friendships that I have made during my time at Sonoma State. I am thankful for my teammates and coaching staff that help me strive to be better each and every day". #7 SS Nick Simmons:
Senior short stop Nick Simmons joined the Seawolves baseball program for the 2020 season as a transfer from Diablo Valley College. Nick stepped in right away as the everyday short stop and showed his smoothness and consistency with the glove each and everyday. Nick is just one of two players to play and start in all 48 games this season for SSU and he currently holds a .247 batting average, and a career high 3 home runs. Nick will graduate from Sonoma State with a Bachelor's degree in Communications. "I would like to thank my family and girlfriend for always supporting me throughout my career. #25 INF/RHP Joshua Medina:
Lastly for the Seawolves is utility player Josh Medina. Josh joined the Seawolves baseball program as a true freshman back in 2019 out of Chatsworth HS. Josh has put together an incredible Seawolf career as he has played in 107 total games while also recording 28 appearances on the mound. Josh currently holds a .322 batting average and has started and played in all 48 games for SSU. Josh also leads the team with 56 total hits, good for a career high, and holds a 1.72 ERA in his 11 appearances on the mound. In his 11 appearances Josh ranks tied for 1st in the CCAA with 6 saves on the season, also good for a career high. Josh will graduate from Sonoma State with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Management. "Thank you to my family, friends, teammates, and coaches.
