Tony Ciccone returns for his third stint as an assistant coach under John Goelz.  Ciccone also served from 1987 to 1989 and from 1994 to 1995, making 2014 the seventh year he’s helped out the Sonoma State baseball team.  

Originally from Southern California, Tony played junior college ball at College of the Canyons, where he was an All-League pick.  He played the 1986 season - Coach Goelz’s first - at Sonoma State, where he was named the league’s top second baseman.  Following a 1986 season in which he hit over .350, Ciccone was drafted in the 12th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers.  He was also drafted by the Houston Astros out of high school in 1983.
