Biography
2011: Started 11 games before an injury sidelined him late in the season...he came back to pitch in relief during the Seawolves’ appearance in the College World Series...went 2-0 on the season with two saves...second on the team with 64 strikeouts...held opponents to a .247 average...struck out a career-high 10 batters in a win over Cal State East Bay (3/27/11).
2010: Moved to the rotation as a sophomore, he led the team with six victories...his 3.89 ERA was also the top amongst starters...struck out a season-high seven batters in his final appearance of the season, against Cal Poly Pomona (5/1/10)...through seven innings of shutout ball against San Francisco State (4/9/10).
2009: Appeared in nine games during a promising freshman campaign...struck out 11 in 14.1 innings of work on his way to a 2.51 ERA...his biggest moment came in an elimination game at the NCAA West Regional when he tossed three shutout innings against UC San Diego (5/16/09)...did not give up a run in eight of his nine appearances.
Came to Sonoma State from Liberty High School in Bakersfield...named Second Team All-Area as a senior...a First Team All-City selection...earned MVP honors at the All-City All Star Game.
