Biography

2008:  Turned in a tremendous junior campaign that culminated with Daktronics Second Team All-America honors...became the first Sonoma State women's soccer All-American since 2000...was also named First Team All-CCAA and First Team All-West Region (NSCAA and Daktronics)...led the team in scoring with nine goals despite being a defender...started all 21 games...scored two goals in a 5-1 win over Cal State Monterey Bay (9/21/08)...the team was 6-1-1 in game that she scored a goal in...took just 26 shots on the year, giving her a shot percentage of .346.

2007:  Led the Seawolves with four assists as a sophomore in 2007...ranked third on the team with six points...earned Second Team All-CCAA honors...started all 18 games she appeared in...netted the game-winning goal in Seawolves’ 1-0 win over Cal Poly Pomona (9/28/07)...had assists in 1-0 wins over Cal State L.A. (9/7/07) and Chico State (10/14/07)...a key member of the Seawolves’ vaunted defense.

2006:  Moved into the starting lineup right away and had a fantastic freshman campaign...a starter in all 19 games she appeared in...tied for second on the team with five assists...ranked fifth on the squad with nine points...three of her assists came on game-winning goals...team allowed just 18 goals in the 19 games she appeared in...scored the fastest goal to start a game in school history (twenty seconds in).

HIGH SCHOOL: 
Joins Sonoma State from nearby Rancho Cotate High School...was an All-Empire pick in 2005...earned Honorable Mention All-League honors from 2002-04.

PERSONAL:  The younger sister of former Seawolf star and current athletic department staff member Megan Christensen...is fulfilling a lifelong goal to play for Sonoma State...is a fan of the Golden State Warriors...her biggest influences as an athlete are friends, family, and her club coach Josh Sterling...her favorite food is “anything mom makes”.
