Biography
2007: Saw action in 28 games, starting four of them…scored four goals on 17 attempts, including her first career goal against La Verne in an 11-8 victory (Feb. 25)…chipped in seven assists and posted 10 steals.
2008: Appeared in 20 contests for the Seawolves during her sophomore campaign…netted two goals on three attempts and chipped in two assists.
High School: Attended Kamehameha High School on the island of Oahu…tabbed as the Outstanding Competitor in 2003 and 2004…2006 Second Team All Section selection…led team her senior year to the 2006 Hawaii State Championship.
Personal: Kiane Taparra is the daughter of Tony and Judy Taparra…born on the island of Oahu…chose Sonoma State because of the location, the small campus, and the chance to play water polo…favorite food is Hawaiian food…most memorable sports moment is winning the 2006 high school state championship…aspires to be a physical therapist…kinesiology major.
