Biography

2008: Saw action in 20 games as a freshman…finished the season with five goals on 19 attempts…chipped in three assists and had six steals…tallied one goal and two steals in her first career collegiate game against UC Davis (Jan. 26).

High School: Had a distinguished career at Esperanza High School…was a four year scholar athlete...named All-Sunset League Second team her junior and senior seasons…garnered honorable mention all league honors and was voted most improved player her sophomore campaign.

Personal: Melissa Pence was born in Orange, California on December 20, 1988…chose Sonoma State because of the campus and small class sizes…was recruited by Indiana, Michigan, and Mercyhurst College…would like to become a physician’s assistant…roots for the Anaheim Ducks…favorite athlete is Brent Severyn.
