Volleyball Swept By No. 17 Central Washington

Katie LeBeau Earns All-Tournament Honors

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - Sonoma State came out flat and ended the same way en route to a 3-0 (30-14, 30-20, 30-17) loss to No. 17 Central Washington in the finale of the Seawolf Spike Tournament on Saturday night in Rohnert Park.

Caroline Kendall led the Seawolf offense with six kills.  Rosie Manton and Lindsay Webb each had five kills in a supporting effort. Junior Lillian Harms continued to impress as she had 14 digs, giving her an even 100 for the weekend.

Katie LeBeau posted 42 kills in four matches on her way to an All-Tournament selection.

Both Sonoma State and Central Washington finished the tournament with a 3-1 mark. Chico State was the only unbeaten, finishing the weekend a perfect 4-0. Northwest Nazarene and Cal State Stanislaus each went 2-2 and Alaska and Grand Canyon finished 0-4.

Sonoma State opens California Collegiate Athletic Association play Wednesday, Aug. 30, against Humboldt State in Arcata at 7 pm.
