ROHNERT PARK, Calif- The Sonoma State men's soccer team rolled to their 14th consecutive win with a 3-0 shutout of rival San Francisco State on Sunday afternoon at Seawolf Field in Rohnert Park. Seniors

The win snapped a three-game winning streak by the Gators at Seawolf Field.

The Seawolves got on the board in the 23rd minute when
David Seidel scored his first goal of the game off a double assist by
Eric Lafon and
Michael Asaro. Asaro centered the ball from the right and Lafon tapped it to Seidel on its way into the goal. It was the CCAA-leading 11th assist of the year for Lafon, moving the junior into seventh place on the SSU single-season list.

In addition to the winning streak, the Seawolves kept alive a streak of 14 straight games scoring at least two goals. At 13-0-0, the Seawolves are off to their best conference start ever. They are also now 27-2-1 in their last 30 conference games dating back to 2005.
The last CCAA team to go undefeated in conference play was Cal State Dominguez Hills (12-0-2) in 2004. The Toros are also the last team to have a perfect record in CCAA play, 14-0-0 in 2000. SSU has just one more conference game remaining, next Sunday at Humboldt State.
Next up for the Seawolves is a non-conference battle with Notre Dame de Namur, next Wednesday. It will be the final home game of the regular season for SSU.
