Seawolves Complete Season Sweep Of Coyotes

Mary Bulich was dominant at No. 3 singles despite an injury
ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  Sonoma State swept the doubles competition, then held on with three wins in singles for a 6-3 victory over Cal State San Bernardino on a hot Saturday afternoon.  The win completes a season sweep of the Coyotes as the Seawolves improve to 5-10, 2-6 CCAA.

Leading the way for the Seawolves in doubles was the team of Stephanie Luk and Casey O'Connor, who defeated their counterparts at No. 1 by an 8-6 score.  The Coyotes' team was made up of Leslie Horn and Jennifer Joy, the 2006 CCAA Most Valuable Player.  For Luk and O'Connor, it was the second consecutive outstanding performance this weekend.

In singles play, dominant performances by an injured Mary Bulich at No. 3 and Jeanette Peck at No. 6 were highlights.  Dana Carollo also earned a win at No. 4 in a super tiebreaker.

CSUSB captured the No. 1 (Joy), No. 2 (Horn), and No. 5 (Kara Jenkins) singles matches.
