Women's Tennis Impressive In Victory Over Slugs

Stephanie Luk and the Seawolves had no problem against UC Santa Cruz
ROHNERT PARK, Calif- The 42nd-ranked Sonoma State women's tennis team used dominating performances from up and down the lineup on Saturday in cruising to a 7-2 win over UC Santa Cruz at Seawolf Courts in Rohnert Park. The win pushes the Seawolves to 9-8 on the season.

Sonoma took two of three doubles contests and won five of the six singles competitions.

The Seawolves scored wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, as Haley Hickock and Dana Carollo won 8-0, and Stephanie Hoffmire and Mary Bulich were 8-2 winners.

In singles play, Sonoma won five of six singles matches, all in straight sets to secure the 8-1 win. Jessica Harris dispatched Chloe McHugh 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5, while Stephanie Hoffmire whipped Rebecca Parker 6-0, 6-0.

Sonoma returns to action Apr. 7 when they square off against Notre Dame de Namur. First serve at Seawolf Courts is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
