POMONA, Calif-  In a match pitting a pair of nationally ranked west region foes, fifth-ranked Hawaii Pacific defeated 36th-ranked Sonoma State 6-1 in men's tennis action on Saturday in Pomona.  The loss drops the Seawolves to 4-5 on the season.
The Sea Warriors got out to a 3-0 lead in doubles action with a trio of fairly comfortable victories.  
Aaron Hamilton and 
Anthony Rollins put up the best fight for Sonoma, before falling 8-4 at No. 2.
Only four singles matches were completed, due to travel commitments on the part of Hawaii Pacific.  The Seawolves tallied their lone point of the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles by 
Scott Gaynor.  
The Seawolves will stay in Pomona one more night so that they can face Hawaii-Hilo on Sunday morning.
