Women's Tennis Falls To Spartans On Tuesday, 6-1

SAN JOSE, Calif- Jessica Harris stretched her win streak to nine matches in come-from-behind fashion, but Sonoma State fell to San Jose State on Tuesday, 6-1, at the Spartan Tennis Courts. The Seawolves fall to 8-6 overall.

Harris fell behind Jennifer Williams after Williams claimed the first set 6-4 at the No. 6 singles position. However, Harris (12-2) rallied back and won the next two sets by scores of 6-1 and 6-3 to earn her 12th victory this season. Stephanie Luk battled to the end at the No. 1 spot with Chau Truong, but fell 6-3, 7-5.

Luk and partner Molly Maguire also fought hard in doubles competition, only to lose 9-7.

Sonoma State will return to conference play when the Seawolves host Cal State L.A. on Friday at the SSU Tennis Courts. First serve is set for 12 p.m.
