ROHNERT PARK, Calif- The Sonoma State women's tennis team got out to a 3-0 start after doubles and didn't slow down from there, on their way to a 9-0 sweep of Dominican on Saturday afternoon in Rohnert Park. The victory sends to Seawolves to 2-2 on the season.
The closest of the three doubles matches came at No. 2, where
Megan White and
Anastasia Eliseeva squeaked out an 8-5 win. The No. 1 team of
Dana Carollo and
Haley Hickock won 8-1 and the No. 2 team of
Brooke McBride and
Stephanie Hoffmire picked up an 8-2 win.
The Seawolves swept all six singles matches with the best competition coming at No. 6 where
Lauren Ha outlasted Anh Troung, 7-5, 7-6 (2).
The Seawolves return to action on Sunday when they host San Jose State.
