Women's Tennis Rolls Over Red Storm In 9-0 Victory

Dana Carollo and the Seawolves have won three straight matches.
ROHNERT PARK, Calif- After crusing right through doubles play with a pair of 8-0 victories and a win due to injury, the Sonoma State women's tennis team continued its success in singles play, earning a dominating 9-0 decision over visiting Dixie State on Wednesday at the SSU Tennis Courts. The Seawolves, ranked at No. 49 in the nation and No. 6 in the west region, improves to 7-3 overall.

The duos of Anastacia Eliseeva/Megan White and Dana Carollo/Haley Hickock earned 8-0 wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions.

In singles play, White and McBride dispatched their opponents with relative ease (6-0, 6-0). Carollo (6-1, 6-0), Eliseeva (6-0, 6-4) and Hickock (6-3, 6-0) also earned wins on Wednesday. Stephanie Hoffmire got the victory at No. 6 singles, due to an opponent injury.

Sonoma State has won three straight matches, including two straight by way of 9-0 decisions. SSU will now host Grand Canyon on Thursday, beginning at Noon.
