SAN RAFAEL, Calif- The Sonoma State women's tennis team cruised through five singles matches with convincing victories before the rain washed away the rest of the match, handing Sonoma State the rain-shortened 5-0 victory over Dominican on Friday afternoon in San Rafael. The Seawolves, who have won four of their last five, improved to 8-4 this season. The Penguins fall to 4-8.

Megan White, Haley Hickock and Stephanie Hoffmire dispatched their opponents, not allowing them a point. Brooke McBride (6-1, 6-1) and Anastasia Elisseva (6-1, 6-2) easily handled their opposition as well. Dana Carollo, at No. 1 singles, couldn't finish her match with Irina Morozova because of the rain that started to fall.

Sonoma State will return home to Rohnert Park next weekend to host three matches in three days -- UC San Diego (Apr. 1), Cal State L.A. (Apr. 2) and Notre Dame de Namur (Apr. 3).
