Warriors Earn Road Victory Over Host Seawolves

ROHNERT PARK, Calif- Stephanie Hoffmire and Brooke McBride shutout their opponents at No. 3 doubles, but No. 19 Cal State Stanislaus earned a 6-3 victory over host Sonoma State on Saturday at the SSU Tennis Courts in Rohnert Park. The Seawolves fall to 11-7 while the Warriors improve to 6-7.

Hoffmire and McBride dispatched Lexy Harringon and Erin McGurty, 8-0 to give SSU a point in doubles play, but the Seawolves entered singles play down 2-1.

Haley Hickock (6-2, 7-6) and Hoffmire (6-1, 6-2) earned wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, but Cal State Stanislaus won at the No. 1, 2, 3 and 6 singles positions to defeat Sonoma State.

Sonoma State will now travel to Los Angeles on Wednesday to face Cal State L.A. before heading down to La Jolla to take on UC San Diego on Thursday,
