WAIPAHU, Hawai'i -- The Sonoma State women's tennis team hopped back onto the right foot on Monday, earning a 6-3 victory over NCAA West Region-foe and 49th-ranked Chaminade at the Central Oahu Regional Park Tennis Courts in Waipahu, Hawai'i. The Seawolves, who are ranked at No. 38 in the ITA/NCAA Division II poll, move back to .500 with a 7-7 overall record; the Silverswords fall to 4-7.

Sheena Johnson gave Sonoma State an early lead after doubles play, defeating their opponents, 9-7 and 8-1, respectively.
After Chaminade's Yanita Arnaudova and Yuka Kondo pulled off wins in straight sets at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, McBride, Hoffmire, Ha and Johnson rallied to earn victories, also in straight sets, to complete the 6-3 match win.
Sonoma State will wrap up its four-day, three-match trip to the Hawaiian Islands on Tuesday when it faces Hawai'i-Hilo in Waipahu.
