ROHNERT PARK, Calif.-  Sonoma State ran into a hot Cal State L.A. team on Friday afternoon, resulting in a 7-2 defeat for the Seawolves in NCAA Division II women's tennis action in Rohnert Park.  The 17th-ranked Golden Eagles won for the sixth time in their last seven matches, improving to 10-4 in the process.  The Seawolves drop to 8-8 on the season.

The match continued a busy spring break for Sonoma State.  The Seawolves went 2-1 earlier in the week in Hawaii and will face another nationally-ranked squad, Cal State Stanislaus, on Sunday.

Cal State L.A. got out to a stellar start, sweeping the three doubles contests to go up 3-0 early.  The Seawolves put up their best fight at No. 3, as Lauren Ha and Sheena Johnson# pushed their opponents to 8-6.

Sonoma State was able to pick up two points in singles, one at No. 2, where Krista Cole earned a point after her opponent retired while trailing in the first set.  The other victory for Sonoma came at No. 6, where Ha was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Maria Xavier.

The Seawolves return to the courts this Sunday in Turlock against 33rd-ranked Cal State Stanislaus.  Following Sunday's match, Sonoma State will be home for eight consecutive matches, starting April 6th against Mills College.
