ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- Playing two matches in a span of four hours, the Sonoma State women's tennis team never showed any fatigue, crusing to a pair of victories on Friday at the SSU Tennis Courts.  The Seawolves allowed just three points to be scored by Mills College in any set, steamrolling the Cyclones in a 9-0 win before knocking off UC Santa Cruz, 7-2, later in the afternoon.  SSU moves its record to above .500 at 10-9.

Megan White, Sheena Johnson, Lauren Shafer, Lauren Ha and Spencer Trotter posted perfect 6-0, 6-0 scores in singles play against Mills College.  The duo of Stephanie Hoffmire and Brooke McBride also didn't allow a point to be scored by their opponent, earning the 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles.

In the second match of the day against UC Santa Cruz, Cole, Hoffmire, Ha and Johnson earned singles wins in straight sets.  McBride came through for a victory at No. 3 singles after losing the first set.  She rebounded for the 5-7, 6-3, 10-6 comeback win.

In doubles play against the Banana Slugs, the pairings of Hoffmire/McBride and Ha/Johnson dispatched their opponents, 8-4 and 8-0, respectively.

Sonoma State will play two more matches on Saturday, starting with a 10:00 a.m. meeting with Notre Dame de Namur before hosting No. 42 Academy of Art four hours later at 2:00 p.m.  Both matches will take place at the SSU Tennis Courts in Rohnert Park.
