ROHNERT PARK -- The Sonoma State women's tennis team delivered a dominating performance on Saturday afternoon, sweeping all nine points from visiting Cal State Stanislaus at the Seawolf Tennis Complex in Rohnert Park. The Seawolves got 6-0, 6-0 wins from
Sara Celma at No. 1 and
Lauren Ha at No. 6 in one of their most complete team performances of the season. The Seawolves improve to 7-4 overall with their third straight win.
Sonoma State took all three points in doubles play with the Warriors failing to threaten in any of the contests. Leading the way were
Sheena Johnson and
Karlee Budge, who won their match at No. 3 doubles by an 8-0 score.
Singles was much of the same, as the none of the Seawolves were challenged. Seven of the 12 sets ended in 6-0 wins for Sonoma State and the most games won by Stanislaus in any set was just three.
The Seawolves are back in action next Friday when they pull double duty against Notre Dame de Namur and Mills College.
