CHICO, Calif. -- Tanner Adams drained 16 points, 12 of which came from 3-point range and three others scored in double figures as the Sonoma State women's basketball team rebounded from Friday's season-opening loss to defeat Notre Dame de Namur 65-53 on Saturday evening at the Coslet Classic in Chico.
The Seawolves will enter Tuesday's home opener against William Jessup with a 1-1 record while the Argonauts fell to 0-2.
Adams, who was named to the Coslet Classic All-Tournament Team, scored her 16 points on 6 of 13 shooting, including 4 of 5 from downtown. She added four assists and two steals in the win.
Madison Burroughs and
Carly Gill chipped in with 12 points each while
Kim Savio added 11 points. As a team, the Seawolves shot 40.7 from the floor on 22 of 54.
