#21 Seawolves Upset As Rally Falls Short In CCAA Opener

SEASIDE, Calif. -- Caylie Seitz went for 28 kills and hit .350 and Kaitlyn Connolly recorded a career-high 24 digs, but after dropping the first two sets and staging a furious rally to force a fifth set, the 21st-ranked Sonoma State women's volleyball team fell short of a comeback, losing 16-25, 22-25, 27-25, 26-24, 12-15 to host Cal State Monterey Bay on Thursday night at the Otter Sports Center in Seaside, Calif.

The Seawolves fall to 4-3 (0-1 CCAA) to open conference play while the Otters improve to 2-5 (1-1 CCAA).

Sonoma State will return to action on Saturday night at Cal Poly Pomona.  First serve in Kellogg Gym is set for 7:00 pm.
