ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- The Sonoma State women's tennis team cruised to a quick 9-0 sweep of Mills College on Friday afternoon in non-conference action at the Seawolf Tennis Courts. The 26th-ranked Seawolves didn't give up a single game in the match as they beat the Cyclones for the eighth straight time - with six of them going down as 9-0 sweeps.
The win pushes Sonoma State to 3-0 on the season.
All three doubles teams breezed to 8-0 wins.
Hillary Fazekas and
Karlee Budge comprised the No. 1 team,
Amanda Zuidema and
Katherine Long were at No. 2, while
Julie Rea and
Mariann Bukich made up the No. 3 duo.
Jordyn Kearney moved into the No. 1 spot and walked to a 6-0, 6-0 win.
Jensyn Warren, after taking doubles off, won handily at No. 2 doubles. The rest of the singles lineup was made up by Budge (No. 3), Fazekas (No. 4), Rea (No. 5), and Bukich (No. 6).
The Seawolves return to action on Monday morning when they host west region foe Dixie State. First serve is set for 10:00 am.
