San Francisco, Calif. - In non-conference road action against CCAA North Division foe San Francisco State, Sonoma State took a 6-1 loss to the Gators at Maloney Field.
Ryan O'Malley continued his torrid pace to begin the season by ripping an RBI double to center in the first to give Sonoma (3-9) a 1-0 lead, but that would be all the offense the Seawolves would produce.
With a run in the fourth against
Dylan Hecht, the Gators (6-4) tied the game and went on to score in each of the next four innings, running away from Sonoma State on their way to their fourth straight win.
O'Malley led the Seawolves offensively by going 2-for-4. Of his 20 hits on the season, 12 have gone for extra bases (8 doubles, triple, 3 home runs).
Jared English got the team's other hit as a pinch hitter in the ninth.
UP NEXT: Sonoma State returns home on Saturday to take on Cal State Dominguez Hills in a CCAA doubleheader at Seawolf Diamond. First pitch is set for 11 a.m., with game two taking place approximately 30 minutes after the end of game one.
